Thuso Mbedu celebrates premiere of The Underground Railroad

Published on

Thuso Mbedu has been on the last leg of her promotional campaign for the much-anticipated drama series, Barry Jenkins’ The Underground Railroad, which recently premiered on Amazon Prime Video.

Thuso Mbedu took to Twitter on Friday, 14 May 2021, to celebrate the premiere of Barry Jenkins’ The Underground Railroad. The drama series follows the life and times of Cora Randall, played by Mbedu. The character is regarded as Mbedu’s international breakout role, as she continues to build a name for herself in the Hollywood acting scene.

While Mbedu has been focused on promoting the show, Barry Jenkins has opted to take a hiatus since its premiere. Jenkins took to Twitter on Friday, 14 May 2021, and wrote, “I’m headed off to the desert for a few days. Unplugging. I did my best. I mean I gave this one… everything. Sometimes it really do go Halle Berry. Or hallelujah.”

The series is currently available for viewing on Amazon Prime Video. South Africans who are looking to watch the drama series will need to subscribe to the streaming platform.
