Houston-born rapper Travis Scott has been announced as the first headline act for the Yasalam After-Race concert at the 2019 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The Yas Marina Circuit made an announcement on their Twitter page on Wednesday, 15 May 2019, that reads: “[Travis Scott] will be performing on Friday, 29 November at the [Ya Salam 2019] After-Race Concert Exclusive for [Abu Dhabi GP] Ticket Holders.” Accompanying this was the promotional video set to Travis’ hit song Sicko Mode. The video begins with a rainbow coloured image of Scott with sparkling flares shooting out from his chest area. This then evolves into the same rainbow coloured Formula One race car with light flares shooting out around it.

This will not be Travis’ first time in the United Arab Emirates, with him having performed there back in 2016 as a part of Yasalam Beats On The Beach Concert. Other headliners for the After-Race concert are yet to be announced.

Travis is currently rounding up his Astroworld – Wish You Were Here tour, with performances to come at Firefly Music Festival in Dover on Saturday, 22 June 2019, and a concert at London’s O2 Arena on Tuesday, 16 July 2019.

Fans can expect to hear Scott perform hits from his latest album, Astroworld, released on Friday, 3 August 2018. The album saw him reach global superstardom, spawning the smash-hit Sicko Mode, featuring Drake. The album also hosts hits like Yosemite, featuring Gunna, and Nav and Butterfly Effect.

Tickets for the After-Race concert are available for purchase on the official Yas Marina Circuit website.
