Taking to social media to make the announcement, the producer has revealed that he will be releasing his first album as an artist next Monday, 19 November 2018.

South African producer and hip-hop artists, Tweezy, has taken to social media to reveal that his debut album will be released next Monday, 19 November 2019.

The rapper has been promoting the album for the past few months, without confirming an official release date, until now. Tweezy has been known for producing hit singles for the likes of AKA and Emtee.

The album, titled ‘Chosen,’ will be his way of exploring more of his artistic side, and responding to some of his fans’ requests, who have been urging him to release a full body of work.

Speaking to local media in an interview on Monday, 31 July 2017, the hit producer and rapper opened up about his journey in the music industry, and how his love for music came about.

“Music has been my passion since I was very young boy; aspiring to be big in what I do one day. When you come from a place where people don’t expect the best from you and you don’t have the facilities to make things happen, you are forced to make the best of what you have. As a producer, I had my first computer in 2014, whereas I started producing in 2008. I think that is the common trait of people from the townships, like Soweto, where I am from, to use what they have, no matter how small it is to get somewhere in life,” he said.

Tweezy also recently opened up his own record label company titled Hits Since 14.
