Two highly recommended services to watch Naruto: Shippuden

Published on

Naruto: Shippuden is one of the most popular anime Japanese manga series, with two of the most recommended streaming services to view it being Hulu and Netflix.

Naruto is one of the most universally popular manga series in the history of television. The Masashi Kishimoto manga has seen two adaptations. The first was Naruto, which aired between 2002 and 2007. This first edition of the series was focused on telling the origin story of the protagonist, Naruto Uzumaki. The character in the first series is searching for acceptance and recognition as he is treated as an outcast due to having the Nine-Tailed Fox sealed in him.

Naruto: Shippuden, on the other hand, is the coming-of-age story of Naruto. The story focuses on his journey to finally achieving his long-lived dream of becoming the Hokage. This adaptation had a 10-year run between 2007 and 2017. Following the end of Shippuden, there has been a third adaptation of the Japanese manga series, which focuses on the new generation of ninjas, Boruto: Naruto Next Generation.

In light of the cult following the Japanese manga series has created, and the lack of availability to view the show, a frequently asked question is where can the series be streamed? There are two highly recommended paid-subscription video on-demand streaming services that have the series, namely:

  1. Hulu: Hulu has both Naruto and Naruto Shippuden on the platform. Moreover, the series can be watched with or without English subtitles. A Hulu subscription package will cost $6.99 per month.
  2. Netflix: With Netflix, Naruto Shippuden is available on Netflix Canada. Therefore, if wanting to view the series, it is recommended that you change your IP address to a Canadian one through the use of a VPN. Additionally, the Netflix subscription fee is higher than Hulu’s. Therefore, the first preference should always be Hulu.
