Vongai Mapho shares platinum blonde wig transformation tutorial video

The South African beauty influencer took to Instagram on Monday, 9 September 2019, to share a video demonstrating how to dye a wig at home.

South African vlogger, Vongai Mapho, continues to wow her social media followers with her make-up and hairstyle creations. She took to Instagram on Monday, 9 September 2019, to share her latest hairstyle creation in a video post. The video details Vongai demonstrating how social media users can dye their own wigs at home using a water-based colour. In the video, the make-up artist can be seen wearing a platinum blonde wig before she transforms it. She takes a brown coloured dye and mixes it with water in a large see-through container. She then places the wig inside the dye mixture and leaves it to soak for five hours. She then removes the wig, dries it and styles as desired.

In the caption, Vongai advises that those who wish to have their wigs dyed, should not hesitate to give the job to wig makers who have the experience. She explains that the process of dying a wig is not as easy as many people may think. She also mentions that the wig she used was of good quality and although the colour did not turn out to be the one she initially intended, the wig did not react negatively to the colour.

The short video clip is only part of a longer video that Vongai explains will be uploaded onto her YouTube channel.
