Vuyo Dabula was confirmed to have returned to Generations: The Legacy, with his return applauded as it promises to revitalise the world of the story.
SABC 1’s Generations: The Legacy took to Twitter on Friday, 9 July 2021, to confirm the return of original cast member, Vuyo Dabula. Dabula returned to the soapie to reprise his role as Kumkani “Gaddafi” Phakade. His return was marked with the introduction of Khabonina Qubeka as Oby Abugu, and as viewers will come to learn, her current character name is actually Oby Phakade.
It seems that Gaddafi married Oby during his time away from the world of Generations: The Legacy. Therefore, as their storyline unfolds, fans will be privy to the nature of their relationship. Moreover, fans will get to better understand Qubeka’s character, as she has a Nigerian name, despite maintaining her local accent.
Moreover, already indicated as another storyline for Gaddafi’s return, is how the women in his life will react to him moving on. Before his previous departure, Gaddafi was in a love triangle with two characters that are now involved in other serious and complicated relationships. However, it seems that they still have feelings for Gaddafi.
