American hip-hop artist Future released the music video for one of his current single, Government Official, on Tuesday, 11 June 2019.
As part of his surprise release, Future gave fans three different music videos for songs off his new EP, Save Me. One of the videos is for track five on the EP, titled Government Official. The video, like the other two music videos, was directed by conceptual artist and founder of luxury brand Enfants Riches Déprimés, Henri Alexander Levy.
Together, Levy and Future produce a music video that is not necessarily dependent on the song for its narrative but is hinged on the designer clothes and visual art to drive the aesthetics. The music video features montage shots of Future and his female interest dressed in Enfants Riches Déprimés, while being intercut with drawn conceptual pictures of the female interest. The fashion-driven shots are juxtaposed with shots of Future rapping in the passenger seat while Levy drives them down the freeway.
