South African rapper Manu WorldStar released the music video for his single titled ‘Nalingi’ on Monday, 1 October 2018.
The video was directed by Kuda Jemba, and makes a point of showcasing numerous people from all walks of life, but most importantly, showcases people of different shades.
In an article published by Okay Africa on Tuesday, 2 October 2018, Jemba commented:
“I wanted to show that ‘Nalingi’ is a major vibe and can be enjoyed in almost every situation. Alone, salon, playing dice with the gents, the club, at home with your significant other, in the shower… It’s the type of song I wanted to show people of different ethnicities, vibing out, having fun like one big family.’
The song has been on high rotation on popular radio stations such as YFM, 5FM and Metro FM.
