Multi-talented musical duo The Chainsmokers released the official live performance video of their collaborative single Hope, with Swedish singer Winona Oak on Monday, 8 April 2019.
The live performance took place at the Vevo studios in Los Angeles, California, and showcases the artists performing on a round sound stage. The camera focuses on Oak as she delivers her opening verse, then pans to The Chainsmokers members Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart, who offer their instrumental contributions as well as backing vocals. The video then progresses to show a silhouette shot of Oak as she continues singing in a spotlight-lit area of the studio.
Oak then joins the group back on stage, where they are accompanied by a larger group of musicians who are seen playing the violin, electric guitar and drums. Alex Taggart takes centre stage for his solo, with the camera focusing solely on him. They join together for the final chorus, as the lights flicker according to the beat, adding to the high energy atmosphere.
