European boy band Westlife took to social media on Wednesday, 5 June 2019, to announce the additional dates added for The Twenty Tour, which now includes China.

The band made the announcement on social media on Wednesday, 5 June 2019, in an Instagram story which was later added to their highlight reel. The image showed a promotional poster of the remaining four members, consisting of Shane Filan, Markus Feehily, Nicky Byrne and Kian Egan. The image was captioned with, “We’re glad to announce that we’re coming to China this summer.” The shows will take place on Tuesday, 13 August 2019, in Beijing and Friday, 16 August 2019, in Shanghai.

The Twenty Tour serves as the band’s thirteenth concert tour in their 20-year long career. The concert also commemorates the band’s 20-year anniversary and celebrates their 14 number one hits, which were achieved throughout the years. The tour began on Wednesday, 22 May 2019, and will visit various European countries before making its way to Asia.

Westlife recently surprised fans with a medley of classic Queen songs on Monday, 3 June 2019, at their Manchester concert on The Twenty Tour. The band belted out hits such as We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions and Bohemian Rhapsody, all while wearing Freddie Mercury-style leather ensembles. The band has not confirmed if the medley will appear on the forthcoming tour concerts.

The confirmed set list for the tour includes popular songs such as Hello My Love, Swear It Again, What About Now, My Love, When You’re Looking Like That, Mandy, Uptown Girl, Home and Better Man.

Tickets for The Twenty Tour are available for purchase on the official tour website.
