Westlife’s Brian McFadden takes to Stellenbosch this weekend

The former Westlife member is gearing up for his performance at the Spier Amphitheatre this weekend, where his will be joined by The Voice SA’s Gavin Edwards.

South African musician and The Voice SA Season 1 runner up, Gavin Edwards, will be opening up for Brian McFadden this coming weekend, Saturday 17 November 2018 and Sunday, 18 November 2018. The former Westlife band member will be performing in Stellenbosch at the Spier Amphitheatre.

Gavin Edwards won the hearts of South African’s during his The Voice SA audition, with his rendition of ‘Say Something’ reaching over two million views on YouTube. He has since gone on to release his 2017 debut album, ‘Silver Skies.’ His single, ‘Sparks’, secured the number one spot on the iTunes charts on the day of its release, and also earned him a South African Music Award nomination for Best Adult Contemporary Album.

Speaking to local media in an article published on Thursday, 25 October 2018, McFadden revealed that he will be performing some of Westlife’s popular songs, adding that he also has aspirations of working with some of South Africa’s local talent.

“This is a project I have wanted to do for years as I love old-school soul, and I cannot wait to perform some of the great classics in South Africa,” he said. “I would love to collaborate with some of the amazing talent from there one day.”

Accompanying him on his full live tout, Brian McFadden – Soul Jam, will be his nine-piece band.
