Winnie Mashaba builds anticipation for the release of her Double CD

The release date of the singer’s second double disc, following the release of ‘The Very Best of Winnie Mashaba’ in 2014, will be announced soon by her record label.

Gospel singer, Winnie Mashaba, posted several photos on Instagram on Wednesday, 9 January 2019,  to whet the appetite of fans ahead of her new musical release.

Mashaba shared seventeen photos of herself performing on stage in six separate posts. In the last update, she explained her thinking behind sharing the photos. “This pictures are just a buildup to [the] double CD release date, soon to be announced by Universal Music South Africa,” the singer told fans.

The ‘Ditheto’ singer said everyone who works with her was well-accommodated. “We make sure that all teams members are comfortable and they are given high quality sound and stage,” the singer said in one of the Instagram posts. “We work according to the specifications of each and every member.”

Mashaba released her latest single, ‘O Mohau Messiah’ on Friday, 19 October 2018. The song is a live recording from her performance at the Emperor’s Palace. The singer has released thirteen studio albums, two singles and one live album. Her last studio album ‘Dilo Tša Lefase’ had thirteen tracks and one single titled  ‘Ditheto’  featuring Bo and DJ Chase.

Her first and only live album, ‘The Very Best of Winnie Mashaba’, was released on New Year’s Day in 2014. The double disc album boasts five singles and features three artists, and has a two hour runtime. Fellow musicians, Malesela Kekae, Kutullo Moagi and Molweli Nendouvhada, each appear on three of the songs.
