South African entertainer, Zodwa Wabantu, hints at a perfume release scheduled for 2020

In an Instagram video on Tuesday, 13 August 2019, the South African entertainer expressed that she lives her life as authentic as possible, which makes her more relatable to the public.

Zodwa Wabantu is known for her controversial fashion choices and her authentic and humorous personality. The media personality took to Instagram to address the issue of authenticity, saying in isiZulu, that she is always authentic in who she is on social media.

Zodwa starts off the video by expressing that she does not only post images of herself at photoshoots, wearing expensive make-up, which is usually free, mocking other South African celebrities who do this. “I post as real as I am when I wake up”, she says in the video.

The South African entertainer goes on to express that even if she has something in her nose, or chipped nail polish , Instagram users should “deal with it”. She candidly says that even if viewers see a cockroach on her walls, the cockroach belongs to her and people should pay no attention to it.

Zodwa says that she will not change anything in her life because she wants to live her life as authentic as possible. The controversial personality ascertains that she will not pretend to be something that she is not, and points out that some Instagram users do not always show their authentic selves. She ends the video by saying that those who choose to only show themselves on their social media pages with make-up and weaves on are fake.

The video has since received over 70 000 views, with many Instagram users commenting in agreement with Zodwa.
