The controversial socialite will reportedly star in her own reality TV show which will provide insight into her life as an entertainer, as well as her love life.
Dancer and socialite Zodwa Wabantu is reportedly on the verge of signing a R1 million deal with DSTV’s new channel, Moja Love. The socialite will star in her own 13-episode reality TV show which will be produced by former Generations actress Palesa Madisakwane’s production company called Thabomo.
In an article published by local media on Sunday, 23 September 2018, Zodwa commented on the upcoming reality show, saying that she will only start shooting once she has received half of the money due to her.
“It’s going to be 13 episodes,” she said. “But I won’t just shoot a single episode unless half of the amount has been paid into my account. I cannot put my private life out there for nothing. I’m here to make money and those who want to make money out of me should know that I too need to make money from them. I’m not going to reveal much because I have not signed the contract. I will sign the contract upon my return from Dubai on Tuesday.”
The reality show is said to provide further insight into her love life with her current boyfriend, as well as her previous relationships, including her involvement with Khanyi Mbau’s ex-husband Mandla Mthembu. Mbau and Mthembu have a daughter together.
Speaking on her involvement with the project, in an article published by local media on Sunday, 23 September 2018, Palesa Madisakwane commented:
“My involvement in this project is for script writing. There are guys who will be filming her. The shooting will start in Dubai where she has a gig this weekend. We will then do more shooting in Soweto, where she comes from.”
Moja Love’s Head of Marketing and PR Lindiwe Mbonambi said she was not at liberty to comment on the reality show as the discussions between the channel and the producers have not been concluded or finalised yet.
