Zozibini Tunzi has joined the public’s condemnation of public figures who are being accused of rape, by specifically expressing her disappointment in the allegations levelled against Euphonik and Vuyo Tshangana.
Zozibini Tunzi took to Twitter on Sunday, 28 February 2021, to express her disappointment at the South African justice system, which, according to some, has repeatedly been lenient on men in power. Admitting that she had been off social media for a few days, Zozibini claimed that she was shocked upon recapping the events of the week, where she saw accused rapists, Euphonik and Vuyo Tshangana, both carrying on with their lives as normal. Moreover, Euphonik has been publicly taunting his accuser to discredit her.
She stated, “The justice system is extremely flawed when it comes to the protection of victims of rape and abuse, especially if the accused is in a position of power. Learning that Vuyo has been here having the best time while being accused of rape and having Euphonik continuously antagonizing Nampree and making a joke of everything is uncalled for.”
Zozibini added that although she is saddened by all that has transpired, she is not shocked, as the South African justice system often acts in favour of the accused and not the accuser. According to her, this is often the case when it comes to people in positions of power.

I haven't been on Twitter and just waking up this morning to catch up on the happenings of the weekend has been heavy. The justice system is extremely flawed when it comes to the protection of victims of rape and abuse, especially if the accused is in a position of power.
